What is a Self-Created Vitamin Deficiency?

If Americans spend $163 million on supplements, why are some 50-90% Americans still deficient in some way? The numbers don't make sense. It just doesn't add up.

You have to understand what deficiencies are all about. And there are at least 7 things to understand about nutritional deficiencies.

I thought this might be valuable for you to know.

There are 7 categories of deficiencies needing supplementation.

These are:

1. Nutritional Breakdowns
2. Hormonal Imbalances
3. Digestive Challenges
4. Food Vitamin Content or Lack
5. Soil Depletion
6. Animal Feed
7. Toxins (Body and Environment)

We will be taking up each one in detail, but let's get oriented to what a "deficiency" is and the need for "supplementation". Let's get oriented a bit to what these mean and what "deficiency" and the need for "supplementation" are all about.

You see, focusing on supplementing "deficiency" isn't nearly as important as understanding WHY you would have to supplement in the first place.

In other words, WHY DEFICIENCY?

Think about it.

If you don't understand the mechanics, function and purpose of the body and what it needs as fuel to continue its optimal operation, you're going to be guessing (at best) as to what to feed it.

And, very obviously, you would end up deficient.

But what about when you're giving your body "everything it needs", following the best nutritional advice from the top nutritional gurus and still coming up short?

It goes beyond body function...

Recognize that "deficiency", plain and simple, means that something is missing that should be there.

It seems illogical, however, that if you're feeding your body the right things that it needs that you would come up short nutritionally. Doesn't it?

You may be, for instance, eating plenty of veggies in your diet, fulfilling your body's daily requirements.

But, did you ever consider if the vegetables you eat are getting their proper nutrition?

Vegetables "eat" too. They absorb minerals from the soil. Soils can be depleted of minerals and so deprive the plants of the nutrient richness they would otherwise offer and provide.

The same goes for animals and what they are fed. Eating meats that should be nutrient-rich can be disappointing if the diets of those very animals were inadequate.

Then there is the issue of "toxins" which can occur environmentally. This can be the intake of toxins into the body in the forms of medicines, alcohol and even pesticides and preservatives in food.

Then, there are breakdowns in the body itself that can occur and make you less able to absorb even the best nutrients imaginable from food.

The list goes on and on but it all breaks down into these 7 categories.
