Think of these hints like the check engine light in your car. When that light turns on, it might be a big deal, or it might be nothing much.

Your body does the same thing.

Feeling tired all the time? That's your body's check engine light saying, "Hey, check this out!” But being tired could mean a lot of things. It's not always clear what the issue is.

Can't sleep? That's another alert from your body. And just like being tired, it could be caused by many things.

Now, I want to talk about another signal your body might give you: losing your hair. Let's dive into what your body might be trying to say with this clue. There are five big causes of hair loss…and today I want to talk about the biggest…Your thyroid.

Think of your thyroid as the control knob for your energy and how fast your body works. If it's not working right, you might feel really tired, gain weight, get cold easily, feel down, have dry skin, get muscle cramps, forget things, and even have trouble with regular bathroom visits.

Here's the thing: our thyroid also helps control our hair growth. Our hair grows and sheds in a quick cycle. But if our thyroid is sluggish, our hair can't grow back as quickly as it falls out. That's why we might see more hair in our brush or shower drain.

This is how your thyroid gets framed.

The conversion of T4 to T3 happens OUTSIDE the thyroid.

And guess where a lot of this conversion happens? Your liver.
